    News from grade 4A

 Our school year is rapidly drawing to a close. Please make sure that all written and study assignments are completed.

The next book report will be due on May 21. Children may choose the book. Please make sure it is grade appropriate. Instructions will be sent home.

In Social Studies we have been working on infomercials -creating and marketing a product. This is a culminating activity to our study of famous inventors and entrepreneurs of NJ.

In Science we are completing our study of the Earth. We had a guest speaker on rocks and fossils. We were all very amazed by the many examples of unusual specimens that Mr. Washinowski brought for us to see.

In Math we have started our chapter on Geometry.

The Spring program is quickly approaching. The theme has been selected and practice has begun. We will be performing to "Bang on the Drum All Day" by Todd Rundgren. We have decided on costumes. Tee shirts have already been purchased.  

                         Boys- tee shirt, jeans, ( dark blue if possible) and sneakers.

'                         Girls- tee shirt, white Capri's,  or (white, to the knee shorts), white short socks and sneakers.
