Absenteeism and Lateness:

It is imperative that your child attend school regularly.  Failure to do so will greatly hinder your child’s progress. A request for homework when your child is absent must be made early in the day so that your request can be honored. If you choose not to request an assignment, it will be your child’s responsibility to see me for any missed assignments upon his/her return.

If you are planning a family vacation when school is in session, please inform all of your child’s teachers at least one week in advance.

All students must report to school by 7:45 am.  We have already begun classes by 8:00am and coming in late can be a distraction to all.

Tests:

Your child will have a minimum of three days notice prior to having a major test.  If your child is absent for the test review, he/she will be given one day upon coming back to school to prepare for a make-up test. If your child is present for the review, but absent on the day of testing, he/she will be expected to take the test upon return to school.

Sharing answers with classmates on tests, quizzes, or any other assignment will not be tolerated. The result will be a zero.

Testing Scale:

Tests=40%

Quizzes=30%

Homework=20%

Participation and Responsibility=10%
