Dear Parents ,
My ministry to your children this year has three goals:
To
contribute to the personal and spiritual growth of each child
this year through a teaching process that encourages
understanding ,
reflection and conversation.
To insure that students learn specific details of the Old
Testament
appreciating its connection to our Christian faith and
salvation history.
To assist students as they apply the moral principles studied
in the
Bible in their daily lives.
The components will also include prayer and worship so that students will
strengthen their relationship with Jesus, through prayer. The students will
become involved in a variety of prayer experiences to celebrate their
friend-
ship with God in the faith community of their peers.
My prayer is that the students will discover how God has loved them in the
past and how He loves them today and wants the best for them.
God bless you!

Grading Policies-
Homework: Students will be held responsible for all assignments.
Homework
is assigned to reinforce the lessons of the day. Assignments help
students become an independent ,responsible and disciplined
learner. There will be homework assignments every night during
the week whether it be written or study. If there is an emergency
or illness, a written note from the parent / or guardian must be
brought in by the student upon return.
Tests: Students will be informed in advance of all tests to be taken.
These will also include essay questions.
Quizzes: These are given to reinforce material on a daily basis.
Tests and
quizzes will be sent home for you to review, sign and return to
school. Our task is to help students acquire the habits that will
facilitate their success for the rest of their lives. Discipline and
organization make for a positive learning environment.
Participation: Participation is expected in class discussions and
activities .
Your children have a great potential for
learning and their
progress is important to me as it is to you. Your interest as
parents in their involvement will motivate them to learn.
I will try to make your children’s year as successful as
possible.
