Procedure for Borrowing and Returning Books at the School Library:
  • Students in Kindergarten through 4th grade are permitted to borrow, or check out, 1 book for a week.

  • Students in 5th grade through 8th grade are permitted to borrow up to 2 books and can keep them up to two weeks.

  • Books are stamped with the due date, which is the date the book(s) are to be returned to the library.

  • Books may be renewed, but students should return books on their library day to be stamped with the new due date.

  • A book is considered overdue if it is not returned to library on its due date.

  • For students in grades 3rd to 8th, a small fine of 5¢ per library day will be charged until the book is returned.

  • Books lost or damaged are the student's responsibility.  Parents will receive notification of the issue by letter or email.
