Procedure for
Borrowing and Returning Books at the School Library:

Students in Kindergarten through 4th grade
are permitted to borrow, or check out, 1 book for a week.

Students in 5th grade through 8th grade are
permitted to borrow up to 2 books and can keep them up to two
weeks.

Books are stamped with the due date, which
is the date the book(s) are to be returned to the library.

Books may be renewed, but students should
return books on their library day to be stamped with the new due date.

A book is considered overdue if it
is not returned to library on its due date.

For students in grades 3rd to 8th, a small fine of 5¢
per library day will be charged until the book is returned.

Books lost or damaged are the student's responsibility.
Parents will receive notification of the issue by letter or email.
