Religion: We have been praying the rosary during religion and learning about the importance and power the rosary consists of. We have also been discussing each of the sacraments and why we celebrate making sacraments.
Math: Students will soon be finishing adding and subtracting fractions. After this unit, multiplying and dividing of fractions will occur.
Some students continue to struggle with these concepts because they do not have their basic math facts memorized. Please work with your child to make certain that facts are known

Reading: We have will continue finding elements such as the author’s purpose as well as identifying facts and opinions while reading short stories.
English: We will be going through the writing process (prewriting, writing, revising, editing ,publishing) for each writing prompt assigned. Our focus this month will be on specifically persuasive writing. We will also start the unit on adjectives.
Science: This month we will be learning about gravity including the properties of geoshpere, biosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere.
Social Studies: We had been introduced to the five regions in the United States. As we finish the unit on living in the United States, we will begin learning more in dept about each of the five regions starting with the Northwest region.
